Together For Youths Association is a registered (No 24/E.29/1111/VOL.8/ALPAS) non profit-making organisation based in Cameroon. This association has as major interests; poverty alleviation, fight against GBV, basic health, and education. Being founded by a rape victim who had a very traumatic experience experience at the age 5, she decided to take a bold step at the age 23 to help other victims all over the country by creating this platform through which the affected could get help, through sharing her experience, organising counseling sessions with victims, and making available opportunities for them to acquire skills worthy to make their lives better. Being plagued with a socio political crisis in the English speaking regions of the country, we can’t ignore the fact that a lot of lives are ending when they haven’t even started yet, futures have been crushed and stems lost, hope of achieving a better life gone. We examined the steadily rising fraction of sexually violated victims, school drop outs, those unable to access health care, and those unemployed because they’ve lost sources of income, and saw that us as an association has a great role to play in re building lives, and that is how our community development ship harbored at the Working Across Boarders Empowerment Center. This centre shall economically empower IDPs, the vulnerable, and the disadvantaged through trainings in Fashion and design, beauty and aesthetics, culinary arts, and bead works . After a training duration of 8 months at the center the trainees shall graduate well equipped with skills to be self employed. With our partners in Sweden, Great Britain and USA we are sure of scholarship opportunities for the best students to further their education in advance schools in these said countries . This center will not only benefit the youths, but the elderly as well, as we work with a great team of volunteer nurses who move from house to house taking care of the elderly (60+). The Elderly Home Care program is another wing under the center that gives geriatric nurses an opportunity to practice, a field which is widely uncommon in Cameroon and neglected. Through sensitization campaigns, we shall be able to bring the common man to an understanding of this basic health care need, and get more nurses to reach more people especially the suffering masses. By this, we are satisfied that through our work we live our motto daily, which is EACH LIFE MATTERS.

Our vision is to contribute in a high employment rate, and so we set on a mission to sensitize youths in Cameroon not to rely only on education to succeed but to accquire income earning skills that can be passed on to generations.

Project Working Across Boarders Empowerment Center - Elderly Home Care (WABEC Elderly Home Care) is co founded by Miss Nkwezem Bernice and Mrs Catherine Diongu and is not only seen as a life saving project by us, but a project to bring smiles on the faceses of the downtrodden.

We are hoping and praying that we can be able to raise funds for our center . So we pay the rent for the center and buy the necessary equipments to kick start . Our goal is to train at least 70 youths or more every year and this will go a long way to reduce unemployment rates in Cameroon. Aid us in making EACH LIFE MATTER, thanks.
