The campaign that I have formed is in relation to an incredible opportunity that I was fortunate enough to receive. The opportunity itself wouldn't be applicable to me if it wasn't for my great friend, and incredible boxing trainer Darren Barnby. In proposition to this, my current studies have also helped me get to where I am now. I am currently studying for a Level 3 Diploma in Business and a Level 3 subsidiary Diploma in Applied Law at West Suffolk College (all of which is due to finish by the end of April 2016). These last two years of study have provided me with an overall understanding in various aspects of Applied Law.

When I arrive In Hong Kong I will be meeting Mr Phillip Boulding QC who has very kindly offered to help me make a start to my legal career. Phillip Boulding QC was appointed to the Bar of England and Wales in 1979, joined Keating Chambers in 1980, and has continued to fulfil his duties in this profession. I am hugely inspired to even get the chance to meet Mr Phillip Boulding QC as the numerous case studies that I have researched into are all extremely interesting.

For these reasons, I have the determination and motivation to begin my legal career as soon as I can. The work that I would be involved with will help to develop transferable and interpersonal skills, knowledge, experience and give me an introduction into the advanced economy. I will continue to stay focused and prove to myself that I could accomplish things that I never thought I could.

My very first job was at the age of 14,where I was working every alternate Saturday for the duration of a year January 2012, to February 2013.The work involved; completing various jobs around Taylor & Engall Estate Agents, such as filing, keeping things organised and up to date on the computer systems, occasional telephone enquirers, conveying messages, and meeting customers. I feel this job introduced me to working as part of a team; whilst developing valuable skills and experience dealing with different customers from a young age.

Moving on from this, in the summer of 2014 I got the chance to work with 4xtrahands as an Office Assistant. 4xtrahands is an online recruitment company, that is designed by a farmer, for farmers. The business is resourceful, quick, simple and extremely effective in linking up seasonal, harvest and permanent staff to employers all over the UK and abroad. The work that I completed for this business, involved dealing with business enquiries via telephone calls and emails, researching key information and forming spreadsheets to retain the information.

I then began working for Maglia Rosso in Hawstead in the September of 2014, which involved waitressing, using the Barista Coffee machines, taking orders, meeting and serving new customers, general cleaning and tidying. I was working for Maglia Rosso for over a year until I changed to my current employment at The Red House pub. I changed due to the convenience of getting to and from work, but has been a great change as I am continually learning new things at The Red House Pub. Working within the hospitality industry has been key to building my communication and social skills.

I shall be personally inputing £500 of my own money that I have saved to pay for the return flight there . This money has been saved for a once in a lifetime opportunity - such as this! My employment history has also made it possible for me to fund an additional £150 of my savings to pay for potential explorations in and around Hong Kong. In total I will be putting forward £650 of my personal savings.

The total fundraising amount that I have stated is for £3,000 which would help me pay for living expenses, a return flight, food and drink, and more. I have also considered the possibility to learn the basics of a new language. The two official languages in Hong Kong are Chinese and English; this comes under the Hong Kong Basic Law (article 9) and the Official Languages Ordinance (chapter 5 of the Laws of Hong Kong).

Also, I am at the stage of forming a blogging page for those of you who are interested in keeping up to date with my journey and various experiences.

Thank you for taking your time to read my campaign description, and I would fully appreciate any support that I receive. As little as one or two pounds, would make all the difference for this once in a lifetime experience. I hope to personally thank you all!
