I am raising money to purchase a used car for my son, Justin for work. I recently purchased a used car for him for his birthday so he could get to work, a job that took him many months to get - the job is outside of the city and there's no public transportation. I bought the car through a private seller. It had the necessary emissions test and safety certificate. The seller also gave me the invoice from the mechanic with the recent repairs made. I test drove two different days and it was fine. It ran smoothly or so I thought. I was confident in purchasing it because it had the necessary safety certificate and the emissions test. I paid $2,800 for the car, I thought it was a great deal. I gave it to my son this past Monday as a birthday gift. My poor son drove it that night on the highway and called me in a panic that the car just died in the middle of the highway. Long story short, we had to tow the car. Took it to our mechanic and he said the car is a mess. It needs a new motor and many other repairs that are way beyond my means to pay to repair and I can't afford to buy him another car. I asked the seller for the money back and he refused.

My dad has been nice enough in letting Justin use his car since he first got the job but he needs his car back. Justin needs a car for work. I am asking for your help in helping us purchase a used car, one in better condition and this time from a reputable dealership and we're still sure to take it to our mechanic first.

Please, anything you can help with us I would really, really be so grateful.

Thank you so very much.
