Due to Cancer, we recently had to downsize. I Sold all my bench tools for financial reasons to get through a tough period. This included my router and router table. I'm currently in remission thanks to CARR-T therapy. Our apt has a balcony big enough to do small woodworking projects. However I can't afford wood so I'm using scrap wood from a cabinet makers shop. It's small sizes, and none is square. My desire is to have a router and table so I can square wood for small cabinets, shelves, and toys for grandchildren. It's the most versatile tool that would fit in my small workspace.

In looking for a router I've been searching. I've cruised pawn shops, I've posted on our Murray city barter /exchange site. I've posted in local classifieds. I've mentioned it on FB as well as to friends. After all that, nothing has been successful. Therefore I decided to try this site since it's specifically for personal requests.

I currently have several years old Ryobi cordless tools I used for furniture refinishing: sanders, drill, saw. I have one battery and charger. I'd like to get a cordless Ryobl router and table. This would give me the ability to make the kind of cuts needed for drawers, doors, etc. and work with my current cordless system.

Having limited space for bench tools, the router is the most versatile reasonably sized tool for my work. A major part of my recovery, mental and physical would be served having these tools to do more sophisticated projects.

It’s all done

Update posted by Samuel Bennett at 12:24 am

I wanted to let everyone who graciously donated, that my drive is over. I have finally got my balcony workspace mostly organized, though as far as a shop goes, it’s less than ideal. Part of the work routine is spending 10-15 minutes getting setup and a like amount cleaning up.. . . . .

Going great

FolksYour generosity is wonderful. Seeing the donations received has set my creativity on overdrive. I always get a bit frantic when my brain does that. But knowing I can act on ideas is wonderful. I can't wait to get started. Once I do, photos will be on the way!Shared Pain
