A new arts movement is
about to start that will unlock the door to a creative new world,
please help to support it.
A core aim of the project is to release a manifesto for Surrealism 2 this year which marks 50 years since the death of André Breton (September 28), the French founder of Surrealism (1924).
Surrealism was an important movement that aimed to understand more about the creative process and how art connects with philosophy, psychology, science, politics and more. The Surrealists believed that a world infused with art would be more peaceful and war would become less likely.
Sadly, their utopian ambitions were derailed by WW2: fascists destroyed their works which they branded "degenerate art", many artists were displaced to New York and some died in Nazi death camps.
As such, the movement never realised its aims and there is a need to continue their important work and for art to become about more than just entertainment.
Surrealism 2 will express similar aims to Surrealism including the reduction of war and conflict by artistic means.
The funds will pay for the launch and promotion of the new movement and manifesto.
Thank you to all who help with this important cause, you will be rewarded with a more peaceful and artistic future.
The manifesto will be free, since it is vital that many read it and understand why art is so important to world peace and world progress.
Art can unlock the door to a new world, but only if the associated movements receive enough support.
Thanks again for your help.
