Campaign Story
Bridge For Equity Ghana, is a social enterprise made up of a group of young individuals who are dedicated to champion the achievement of SDG goal - 5, which is to Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.
Currently, we have trained about 300 Senior High School students to become Gender advocates.
Also, we are offering skills training to women and girls without education to be financially independent.
To help bridge the economic gender gap which according to the World Economic Forum may take up to 217 years, Bridge for Equity has presently enrolled 5 Ghanaian ladies to acquire skills training in cookery and pastries at Lelisa Cakes and Decor Institute.
This is the first badge of many other women we hope to empower through skills training as research has shown that educating women, has a multiplying effect on a country's economy.
Through internally generated funds, Bridge For Equity has subsidised the cost of training up to 80% including accommodation, free meals, tools and materials for training.
However, for the program to be implemented successfully we need a little support; that is funding for the cost of ingredients for their weekly practicals.
Every amount donated will go a long way to empower these ladies to become financially independent. This is because after graduation, they get the chance to set up their own bakery thereby reducing unemployment and poverty in Ghana.
We hope by setting up this account, your funds will contribute immensely to their empowerment and education.
Thanks for your support.
