My name is Kat, I'm 35 years old and I started karting only 2 years ago. But I'm crazily passionate about it and have achieved a lot within these two years.
I came 3rd in the UAE Championship in Masters category 2 seasons in a row, became Vice-Champion of Dubai O-Plate 2018, participated in many endurance races of the Sodi World Series karting, and even had a chance to be a part of Finals in Le Mans.
Women in racing are rare in general, and especially in the Middle East, where I currently reside. It is usually said 'It's a men's sport', well I want to keep proving that they are wrong.
I am not ready to give up this sport at the moment, even though I know that my age limitations are much higher then if I were a teen. The only thing that prevents me from racing next season is the fact that I cannot afford it.
I have been racing for the locally organized team Dojomoto Racing, who have become my second family for the past few years. I have achieved everything mentioned above only with their help.
I really want to race the next racing season in the UAE and may be even go again tot he Final in Le Mans (I have the Finals ticket, but I cannot afford to go there as well at the moment).
I hope, you guys will help me.
Next racing season will be dedicated to all the women in racing.
