Freedom’s Song Wolf Rescue was founded in Oklahoma in 2005. We obtained our 501c3 in 2006. At the time we had plans to get property and build a proper sanctuary, unfortunately, those plans were thwarted with the crash of the housing industry. Even so, we have continued to rescue as many animals as possible using foster homes.  This leaves us somewhat limited in the help we are able to provide when there are so many animals in need and more sent to us every day.  We are pleased to say that we have finally found property suitable for building our sanctuary on. 10 acres with a well and electricity already in place is perfect for what we are trying to accomplish. The well is in need of repair and a septic system will need to be installed.  Our plans to purchase and utilize the above mentioned property come in four phases.  The phases are as follows (keeping in mind these are guidelines-flexibility is key):

Phase 1: Purchase property, repair well, install septic system, purchase generator to keep well operational when power is out.

Phase 2: Clear the land of trees, trash and anything else that needs to be removed, purchase storage building for food and supplies for the animals and day to day needs, build as many enclosures as possible, each designed to house no more than two animals with plenty of room to run, 1/3 to ½ acre in size, build shelters in every enclosure large enough to house two animals.  We will also be adding in fire dens. In Oklahoma you never know what each day will bring, whether that be wildfires or tornados our animals will need somewhere to go that is safe for them from both.

Phase 3: Purchase freezers for the storage of raw meat for the animals, stock up on food, health and enrichment items. IE: ivermectin, fly spray, ear ointment, basic first aid supplies, toys for animals, etc.

Phase 4: This phase will be final phase, moving the animals that we currently house to their new enclosures and beginning the day to day care of these animals at the new facility.

We greatly appreciate any donations that are made to help us reach our goal and continue our mission to rescue wolves/wolfdogs and provide them with a place of safety, love and care! We look forward to the day when we have a facility of our own where we will be able to help more animals in need.

Please keep sharing our cause. This is so important to the welfare of wolfdogs in our region. There is not, as far as we know, a rescue dedicated to wolfdogs (and full wolves should the need arise) in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, or Missouri. This fundraising event can be shared via
