D.O.G. operates a no-kill shelter located in Tbilisi, Georgia. Georgia is a small country in the Caucasus region, situated between Turkey and Russia. At any time, D.O.G. houses between 40-60 canine guests of various shapes, sizes, and ages, all rescued from the streets of Georgia in hope of finding homes for them. D.O.G. also funds veterinary care for rescued street dogs, with over 3,500 dogs so far receiving treatments ranging from simple spay and neutering, to more intensive, sometimes life-saving, surgeries.

The organization is run by volunteers and depends on fundraising to cover their operating costs.

Unfortunately, this year's expenditures have been higher than forecast, with the small grants program that funds veterinary treatments receiving an unprecedented number of applications, several of which were for long-term, intensive treatments. In addition, there have been several unforeseen outgoings, including providing emergency support to shelters in Ukraine. The Ukraine support included assisting in relocation of approximately 50 dogs and feeding and providing support to hundreds more that were not able to move.

This means that D.O.G. is now entering the difficult winter season in a dire financial situation.

D.O.G. desperately needs your help to continue their current operations. $10,000 will allow D.O.G. to continue running the shelter for approximately three months, enabling them to get through the winter period and giving them time to rebuild their financial reserves.
