Last night in our part of the Gloucester cull zone we came upon six men with lurchers illegally hunting on private land. We intervened to try and save a rabbit that two of their dogs were pursuing and as a consequence we quickly became their next target.
We managed to escape the scene but they chased us and blocked us in on a public road before attacking our vehicles. They smashed a window on one of our cars leaving the driver with cuts to his face and covered in glass. Some nifty driving enabled us to get away and call the police.
The window was replaced today so we can get back straight into the zone tonight and came to £95.
It would be great if we could raise the money to cover it as the car has kindly been donated by a volunteer to be used for the cull and not owned or insured by the group.
