Campaign Story
Hi there!
My name is Tali Weinstein and I am currently a biomedical engineering student at the University of the Witwatersrand. Despite majoring in biomedical applications of engineering - I have always been an avid supporter of green technologies and working towards a more sustainable approach to energy harvesting.
In January, I was given the unpresidented opportunity to partner with Windaid (www.windaid.org) to help construct and install a wind turbine in Peru. This project is very dear to me as it combined practical hands-on learning with volunteering and working towards a more tenable future.
The wind turbine was installed in the developing community of Playa Blanca in Peru to improve upon their living standards through providing free electricity to power electronic items. This sustainable energy will make a differnce to the business opportunities, school learning possibilities and environmental footprint both in Peru and the world at large.
The money raised via this campaign will go towards the payment for the program, the airplane tickets , vaccinations , food and travel costs I have incurred during the program.
Any donation made would be sincerly appreciated both by myself and those who will benefit from this incredible project.
Thank you in advance for your generousity.
