Human trafficking is one of the biggest threats to contemporary society. However, through the funds raised by 24 Hour Race we can make a difference to help end it. Even a small donation can have a huge impact.

What is 24 Hour Race?

The 24 Hour Race is a Running To Stop The Traffik (RTSTT) initiative that empowers high school students to lead the movement to end modern slavery.

Human trafficking is present in every country, and the COVID-19 pandemic has just made it worse. Victims of human trafficking are more vulnerable to contracting the virus and less equipped to handle it. Furthermore, drastic decreases in job opportunities as well as reductions in income mean those who were already vulnerable find themselves in an even more precarious situation.

And that’s exactly why we run. For 24 hours, we push ourselves, physically and mentally to help those in need. The pandemic will not silence our efforts to combat the scourge of modern-day slavery. Millions of vulnerable families and individuals are without access to freedom, safety, and other primary necessities. We run to bring awareness to the cause. We run to stop the traffik.

So what are we fundraising for?

Collaborating with international anti-trafficking organization A21, the funds raised this year will go towards rebuilding a child advocacy center in Pattaya, Thailand.

Alongside aiding A21 create a safe environment where child victims of trafficking and sexual exploitation are able to speak to forensically trained interviewers about the trauma they have experienced, you are helping RTSTT work towards empowering youths. This is achieved through mentoring workshops on leadership, courses on ethical business and professional etiquette, selective student leadership programs, and mentored project building competitions.

With your support, your donation enables us to equip a generation informed, motivated, and mentored to end modern slavery.
