Bringing wind energy to rural mountainous areas aiding local children in Vietnam

For children living in rural mountainous areas, to maintain a solid education is a rigorous, difficult journey filled with many obstacles. The path to school is brutal, plauged with danger as they have to cross streams and rivers, march through miles of jungle and treacherous roads.

Nevertheless, these rural classrooms still survive regardless minimum facilities, temporarily room made of plywood, exposed to the harsh outside environment year round. These are the bad conditions that young children are forced to endure to maintain a consistance education as well as. The worst condition is that there is no electricity in the school; all classrooms haven’t got enough lighting for children to study.

With the start of the new school year, 1516 Green Design wish to help the schools and children and lessen the burden they have to carry during the schooling process. We will bring wind energy to children to help them with lighting, mobile charging and fans to the 14 classrooms at four schools in Cao Bang province in Vietnam.

Investing in young generation is key to a better future, we sincerely ask everyone to provide a helping hand. Your contribution, either financiallyor through volunteering with team 1516 to install wind turbine for these schools will be a greatly benefit our noble cause.

This will surely make a great big impact for the children, to provide a better learning environment, a brighter future and stepping stones for a better society. Throughout this time, we have witnessed their hopefull eyes lit up as bright as the light bulbs powered by our wind turbine. We treasured every moments when we see hapiness lit up in the students and parents hearts.
