First of all I want to thank each individual for the time they took to read my story. I am grateful for every cent raised and wish everyone all the best in these uncertain times.

Ever since I was a child I’ve been fascinated by windmills. These lonely giants, bravely resisting the strong winds, stood proudly on the tops of the hills and took the breath away of anyone watching them. I later learned how important these beautiful structures are to all of humanity. As major producers of renewable, environmentally friendly electricity, windmills play an extremely important role in combating increasingly pronounced climate change.

Early admiration for windmills turned into a life calling. As a young man looking for my position in the world, I decided to enroll in mechanical engineering. I decided to turn my interest in windmills into a career and a job that I will enjoy every day. Shortly after starting my studies, I got the best idea of my life. I decided to make a small, home windmill that would produce enough electricity for my needs. Unlike the huge windmills from the beginning of the story, my windmill would be much smaller but more energy efficient. This type of windmill would allow each individual to participate in the fight against global warming with their commitment and their vision. A small windmill would allow any ecologically lit individual to live in a CO2 neutral home that leaves no impact on nature.

In the following, I will briefly describe the principle of operation of the windmill and I will state what I need funds for.

Based on the aerodynamic lift force, rotor of the windmill converts the kinetic energy of the wind into the mechanical energy of the shaft, after which this energy is converted into electrical energy by means of permanent magnetic generators. The obtained energy is regulated by means of converters and regulators after which it is sent to the electric network. The main components of a windmill that perform energy conversion are: rotor, shaft, column, generator and converters, while other components such as brakes, springs and bearings ensure safe and long-lasting operation of the windmill.

In order to make the windmill as quality as possible, it was necessary to define the geometry of the windmill wing in detail. Windmill wings are, along with the generator, the most important and at the same time the most expensive component of the entire system. I designed the wings using a windmill design and simulation software called Qblade. Windmill wings are made from a combination of fiberglass and epoxy resin. It is an extremely solid combination of materials that is also very light. When making the wings, an environmentally friendly resin that is obtained naturally and that does not pollute the environment will be used. The process of making wings is called vacuum resin infusion. The funds I am trying to raise with this campaign are intended for the procurement of tools and materials for vacuum resin infusion. With your help, I hope to raise enough funds to buy all the necessary materials and tools to be able to professionally produce environmentally friendly wings for my windmill. In this way, I will make a big step in realizing my dreams, to enable each individual to help fight climate change in an economically acceptable way, using a small home windmill.

Thank you for your help and time.
