My name is Laurie and I am marrying my high school sweetheart 15 years after falling in love with him. We were together in high school and into college for 4 and a half years. Then, he joined the navy and was sent to California so we broke up. He came and visited me once when he was on leave and asked if I would ever marry him when he moved back. I told him that I would have to get to know him again. we didn't speak again for 5 years. When he finished his contract, he moved back to be with his family but they had moved 2 hours from where we grew up. I heard he was out of the navy but I heard that he was married and had a son with her so I left him alone. At our 10 year reunion, I looked everywhere but he was nowhere to be seen. Feeling gusty one day, I found him on Facebook and wrote him a private message just saying that I missed catching up with him at the reunion. He wrote back that he was going through a divorce and was fighting for custody of his son but he would love to take me to lunch one day. We met for lunch and it was like old times. I fell back in love with him before our food even came out of the restaurant kitchen. We dated for a little over a year driving back and forth every weekend to see each other. Then, I packed up and moved closer to him, actually across the street from him. I wanted to be as close to him and his son, who has become like my own son, as possible. Then, on New Years Eve 2014, he proposed to me at midnight. It was incredibly romantic. He proposed in front of my whole family which was a huge jump for him because he is shy in front of a big crowd. He told me in his proposal that earlier that night, he was playing the board game, Life, with my niece, my nephew and his son and in that game, he got married and he named his wife my name and he did this because he wants me to be his wife. Then, he pointed out that he waited until New Years Eve because 14 years ago, New Years Eve was the first time he ever told me that he loves me and he's never stopped loving me. So, here I am, about to marry the man of my dreams. He would love to give me my dream wedding and so would my parents but neither can afford to. So, I need help. Please help me raise money to marry the love of my life. Thank you!
