William Duterte Garcia Jr. – Whipple’s Procedure

On August 4,2016 my father underwent an endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography (ERCP). The ERCP revealed a short stricture at the distal common bile duct for which a 8.5 french 4 cm. plastic biliary stent was inserted. Clinical impression was benign versus malignant biliary stricture and patient was advised to undergo exploratory laparotomy within 2 weeks after the ERCP.

The surgical procedure would either be choledocho-jejunostormy if the biliary stricture turns out to be benign or the Whipple's procedure if it turns out to be malignant. This surgery will determine if the sticture is benign or malignant. Time is of the essence because the temporary tube will only last for weeks not more than a month. I'm the only provider in our family and prior to this my savings has been spent for the hospital expenses and i have no other source to pay for the procedure.
