Everyday we hear about tragedies around the world and we keep them at a distance - until the bad luck hits you and your loved ones.
My cousins' house in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa, was burnt to the ground in a matter of minutes yesterday before noon. For over a week now around 32 fires have been raging up South Africa's gorgeous Garden Route, hundreds of kilometres of forest and many homes burnt to ash.
My uncle and aunt did not have insurance on their home having financially struggled for many years - and now they must continue paying mortgage on a home that no longer exists. My youngest cousin is due to start university next year and her older sister is already struggling financially through college.
This is me asking you, imploring you, please to consider donating a few dollars - one coffee, one beer, one lunch - to help my family build their livelihoods back up from the ground. Literally. They need beds, furniture, clothes, shoes, toiletries, crockery, a laptop, food - everything we take for granted almost every day.
I genuinely appreciate any donation very much. With the exchange rate, a few dollars really stretches very far. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping.
