Campaign Story
I have decided to volunteer abroad with Quest Overseas and get hands-on experience working side-by-side with local people in Bolivia. The world is facing challenging times and I want to put my heart and soul to do my part to help making a difference and learn more about conservation of wild animals especially in South America where the illegal animal trade is a major problem.
Understanding the perspectives of people overseas is a critical first step for me, I am excited to become an international volunteer and help in any way that I can. I will be volunteering from the 3rd of July to the 14th of August 2014 in Ambue Ari Bolivia where I will be working as part of a team doing the Wild Life Animal Sanctuary summer project.
Will you please help me achieve this dream and take part in a journey of a lifetime? This project will not only allow me to gain new perspectives on the issues facing Bolivia, but more importantly will really make a difference to the local people as we work very closely with them. If you want to keep up-to-date on the trip my blog is www.Eilidhstour.blog.co.uk.
Your contribution of anything at all will make a huge difference. The money will go towards the cost of the project, which voers my pre-departure support, in-country orientation, on-site activities, and accommodation in a basic but safe shared dormitory, all meals and bottled water, local transportation and much more. I will be making a direction project donation of £850 to Quest4Change, the partner charity with whom we will be working with.
Quest Overseas was founded in 1996 and is an ethical volunteering organsiation that operates volunteering projects in Africa and South America in partnership with sustainable to community activities. If you would like more information on Quest Overseas their website is www.questoverseas.com.
Your support would be extremely valued, and it would be nearly impossible to do this project without your amazing help.
Thank you so much,
Eilidh Middleton.
