First sequel of a documentary Why do I hike was filmed in 2019. It gained over 1 million views on Youtube and it has won several 1st prizes on various film festivals. Now, director Nikola Horvat -Tesla wants to film Why do I hike 2. He says it will be all about tough stuff on the trail and how he and other hikers are overcoming it. Fear, hunger, thirst, bad weather, pain, injuries, loneliness, cold, heat....Nikola usually lives through all of those on the trail. Now, he will film the essence of the hardships of a thru hiker.
Filming will take place on the Continental Divide Trail. He will be hiking for 3 - 5 months interviewing other hikers and filming his tough times on the trail. Every long distance hiker will be able to relate to this film, but also to see hiking life from a different angle - from an angle of a Croatian long distance hiker, PCT and CT finisher, founder of a Croatian Long Distance Trail and author of 2 books. Non hikers will have a chance to witness parts of hiking that people rarely show.
This project is a freelance project. Nikola is making this movie practically by himself. He is a director, interviewer, writer, camera operator, sound engineer, drone pilot, editor, music selector and logistics manager. This fact cuts down the cost of a documentary pretty radically but still he needs funds to do it. He nailed the first sequel so backers can expect another amazing documentary that will touch their emotions and speak to them story from the heart of the trail.

For English scroll down.Poštovani crowdfunderi, backeri!!!!Došao je i taj dan da vas pozovem na premijeru svog novog dokumentarnog filma, a čijem ste stvaranju i vi pomogli svojim uplatama u crowdfunding kampanji. Premijera će se održati 10. veljače 2023. u Zagrebu, kino Forum, Jarunska 2, SC Stjepan Radić, u 19 sati.. . . . .

Dear backers,documentary Why do I hike 2: Hardships of a thru hike is on the way. I am still not sure when the premiere will take place but somewhere at the end of December is likely to be held. Meanwhile visit official website of a movie, watch the trailer, short. . . . .
