Why We March, a Non-Santo project

About our Project:

On May 25th 2013, thousands of activists around the entire world will gather to "March Against Monsanto" by gathering outside their local Capitol to demonstrate against Monsanto Corporation and spread the truth about GMO's. Our  project is to collaborate with filmmakers across the U.S. and Canada to produce a documentary about this event on the day of and will feature interviews with participants, speakers, experts, other persons of interest, etc. about GMO's and the impact it has had on our world and why GMO's need to go. Our goal is to help fuel what we now call The "NON-Santo" movement by assisting in the education of the general public through honest media. This film will show how people from all over the world can come together and make a difference, and that is what these filmakers are doing.

We are currently working with filmmakers in Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Colorado, Utah, Idaho and Iowa for this film. These filmmakers are donating a lot of their time and equipment  to make this happen. We are excited for this collaboration because it is more than just a flim. It is filmakers from all around who have never met coming together and pooling resources to each contribute a small part to something much larger and much greater. The production of this film is about building trust, and relationships.

We are offering some unique rewards for donations (see collumn right) and all funding will go to production costs and compensation to the filmmakers for their tremendous efforts to make this project happen. Thank you for your support.

What Is Monsanto Corporation?

Monsanto Corporation is a leading producer of seeds genetically modified for resistance to the herbicide glyphosate, which they market under the "Roundup" brand. Monsanto also invented and sells seeds that are designed to create a toxin now known as Bt toxin, which when ingested, destroys the stomachs of small pests yet it is deemed safe for public consumption. In fact 90% of soybean, corn, cotton, and sugar beet crops planted in the Unted States are genetically modified and make up for 80% of the products we consume. These products have shown to cause birth defects and other mutations and other governments have banned the import of these products into their countries. We want them out of OUR stores if not at least labeled to be a GMO so consumers can have the opportunity to choose whether or not to consume these products.
