WHOLE LIFE COACHING

My name is Hamisi Ogaya, secretary and Country Coordinator of Sports Aid Africa. Sports Aid Africa - registered in the year 2012 here in Kenya, as Non-Governmental Organization. Our team consist of Mr. Bernard Bitter (Founder & Director), Tirus Ochieng (Chairman) and Hamisi Ogaya (details as above).

Our mission and objective as Sports Aid Africa is:

• To partner and serve the mission of existing likeminded organization and agencies in the refugee camps, and not to become an agency.
• To conduct training and equipping of sports coaches, referees, football clinics for children through whole life and value based coaching programs.
• To provide sports equipment to refugees whenever they are available.
• To upgrade existing sports facilitates in the camps.

We have been operating in Dadaab and Kakuma refugee camp since the registration of Sports Aid Africa. We have successfully conducted trainings with the refugee coaches, referees, children and pastors, and we have the following key highlights:

• 110 soccer coaches have been trained, equipped and mentored.
• 60 referees have been trained, equipped and mentored.
• Over 850 children and youth trained and equipped with sports equipment.
• 55 pastors trained and equipped.
• 6 sowing machines donated to 6 Dadaab churches in the camp out of 15 churches.
• We donated food stuff to Christian refugees when there was food rationing in the camp etc.
• 2, 500 refugees have successfully been trained, equipped and benefited from our previous and current trainings through your generous and kind support.

Why Sport? Both Mr. Bernard Bitter and I, are former football players, and we fully understand and recognize the unifying potential of sports, as well as the need for refugees to be supported to be supported holistically through our gifts and talents.

Therefore, I’m running this campaign on behalf of Sports Aid Africa, so as to successfully continue with our 2019 planned whole life and value based coaching programs for the refugees residing in Kenyan. As an organization, we have been able to raise USD 98, 600, which has gone into the running and conducting of our previous training activities.

We are seeking to raise USD 25, 000, which will be used to conduct the following 2019 programs and cater for the welfare of the trainees.

We anticipate to start off the years calendar late in February and hence we would be in need of funding before then.
