Campaign Story
Nepal, developing country in heart of Himalayas is home one of the best whitewater rivers on the planet. Karnali, Trishuli, Marshiandi to name a few.
On the same note, it is home to man a women dedicated to become river guides - hooning their skills to provide amazing experience to their clients and experience true outdoor adventure.
Skills are passed from teacher to student in rigorous training known as gurukul which takes approximately 5 years. Although skills are passed to trainees from their seniors, access to equipment in extremely limited due to low income in first years of apprenticeship and lack of distributors.
Target is to provide 20 PFDs (personal floating devices) of type equivalent to Hiko Guardian
This will allow to protect their lives, continue training and support communities dependant on guiding activities.
PFD will be delived to Nepal and made available to aspiring junior river guides for subsudized price (under 100 EUR)
Campaing has aim for 80/20 efficiency.
80% material purchase
20% transportation, administration, etc
