Wheels of Hope

Wheels of Hope: This campaign aims to raise funds to purchase an All Terrain Wheelchair, made by a company called Radical Mobility, for Charlene Isaacs-Siddiqui. The total cost of this chair will be R35000. Charlene was born with Little People's Disease and has never been able to walk. Her day to day mobility depends on her wheelchair. Each day, she travels to and from work using public transport. Her journey home also takes her along dusty and bumpy terrain - not easy in a standard wheelchair.

This tenacious, single mother of one has already raised R12000 towards an All Terrain Electric Wheelchair (The Dassie Model). In addition to her day job working in a Call Centre, Charlene does sewing work, laundry and any other jobs she can do to contribute to her wheelchair fund. She is one of life's "givers", always helping others and somebody who remains optimistic and hopeful. She is a real inspiration!
