I am posting on behalf on a medical student in India. She’s hardworking and resilient.
Unfortunately, she’s trapped in the most difficult of circumstances.
'I am Rabiya Tofik, a 5th year medical student at Uzhhorod National University, Ukraine.
For the past four years I have achieved high grades throughout my studies.
1st year:- 72.89% , 2nd year:-84.59%
3rd year:- 90.60%, 4th year:- 85.95%
Sadly, my financial sponsorship has recently come to an end, leaving me with no choice but to ask for your help if I am to stand any chance of completing my final two years as a medical student.
My semester study has already commenced online on the 1st September 2020. I need to pay the fees by October to continue my study. $ 8560 total cost for each year for the next two years.
$ 5700 university fees
$ 1000 food for 10 months
$ 400 travel by public transport
$ 100 Miscellaneous cost
$ 670 for return flights from India to Ukraine.
(Booking on time would cost $1360.00 rtn. fares)
We live on an extremely tight budget. The sudden loss of my dad in November 2016, made a significant difference to a low-income household with no substantial savings. My late dad, a truck driver, never had the opportunity to attend university, but ever since I was a young child he and I nurtured a dream that one day I would become a doctor. I feel that making my dream a reality would be the best kind of healing for my family.
I’ve exhausted all resources of under graduate need-based funding for the final two years of my medical studies. So I’m reaching out to you for support. In doing so you will become an important part of my journey, helping me to fulfil my late father’s hopes for me, allowing me to provide for my family and eventually enabling me to give back to my community.
I would be truly grateful for any advice you give. I am hard working and resilient. I would give the world to be able to fulfil my dad’s ambitions for me.
Will you help me in my quest?
I promise I will make you proud
