What To Do?

I am 53 year old woman with Secondary Progressive MS.  My husband and I moved here after the farm which he lived his whole life was sold and had been in existence since before the Civil War.  We had a very successful Bakery on the farm.  He was against selling, but was out voted by his brother and father.  We all were making a very decent income.  It was a 120 acre fruit orchard and also raised strawberries all pick your own.

One side of the farm was sold.  Father-in-law took the proceeds and bought another piece of land and was going to develop.  Well the market crashed and he lost the new land he just bought because he had taken a $1 million loan out for developmenal cost and then the market plunged.  He also lost the other side of the road of the other farm.  Unfortunately, he also lost his life to Stage Four Lung Cancer.

We ended up almost loosing our house, so we sold for what was owed and received no monies.  My husband bought a cabin in 2003 in TN because he was left money which needed to be invested to avoid tax.

When we lost our house, we decided to move to TN and start fresh.  My husband and I took a loan with a family member for $76,000.  We used the money to purchase a Custom Concession Trailer and were going to travel to different events and make Homemade Apple Cider Donuts.

Before I left for TN, my neurologist submitted the paperwork to start receiving SSI.  I received a letter telling me I am disabled and they started sending me checks.  They were just enough to pay the Mortgage in TN.

Well, they took that away from me because they said my resources were too high.  They even want me to pay the money they gave me back.  Remember I stated above that we received no monies for the sale of our house and rememeber I stated that my husband, not me, inherited money. I also stated that he borrowed $76,000 to purchase as business (have receipts for every dime).  Took the loan out in December 2011 and to this day, have not made any money or any payments!  Lost alot of money though.  I currently has everything for sale, nobody interested.

The SSA said that my resources are too high even though I have no money.

I sit here typing this request for a donation with no heat.  The outside unit is frozen over an I can't turn on.  I can't afford to buy food, pay for any bills.

My husband has finally got a job at the local grocery store making $7.45 per hour and only part time.  He might bring home $130.00 this week.  His supervisor said that he would write a recommendation letter for him to get him a permanent position.  I can't get a job, trying online mostly because we only have one vehicle.
