ABOUT AHLA FAWDA
Ahla Fawda is a Non-Governmental Organisation that undertakes humanitarian and social well-being initiatives to support the most needy families in Lebanon. We do not discriminate on race, nationality, religion or any other factors, we simply do whatever we can to help the most deprived families survive.
We have been established and very active since 2014 building a strong reputation for addressing the needs of the people at the most crucial times.
Since the disaster, the Ahla Fawda Team have been working across multiple operations, clearing the streets, assessing building damage, co-ordinating internal building repairs, distributing clothing, homeware, bedding, toys for children and distributing food.
We now have a depot to be able to receive and store supplies to ensure regular distributions and an ongoing community support system is being implemented.
Clean-up work continues, as does emergency remediation work to make homes as safe and lovable as possible. Our next phase will see structural and external repairs on buildings for the most needy and desperate communities.
