Western Wall Prayer Request Project

Since I was younger, my mother taught me her love for Israel, so one day I decided to search online about that country which is named in news, history books and even the Bible and the result was really impressive for me, therefore it motivated me to seek “How to travel there for a long time”, to what I found a volunteer program in Kibbutz which I decided to apply.

October 2013 I was excited because of it began the journey to Holy Land. I was many times at the Western Wall where I didn’t want to leave every time I went, mainly because I felt the connection between heaven and earth while I lifted up my prayers and my friends’ prayers on this site so sacred for million Jews, Christians and Catholics.

Every two years before the Jewish Passover, all written requests into the crevices of the wall are collected by staff in charge of the Kotel, so I’ve decided to come back to Israel with my sister Andrea to renew and make new requests and also taking into account what it says 2 Chronicles 6:32-33;

“As for the foreigner who does not belong to your people Israel but has come from a distant land because of your great name and your mighty hand and your outstretched arm—when they come and pray toward this temple, then hear from heaven, your dwelling place. Do whatever the foreigner asks of you, so that all the peoples of the earth may know your name and fear you, as do your own people Israel, and may know that this house I have built bears your Name”.

This temple was destroyed twice, first by the Babylonians and then by the Romans, and only left a wall that is located in the western part of this temple where more than 3 million tourists a year come to pray and leave their requests. We all have personal needs, problems and desires, this is an opportunity to leave your request directly in God's hands. Petitions are limitless and can include any area of your life: spiritual, physical, economic, material or emotional. No matter how short or long your request is, in return to your generosity will be sent to your email the photo of your handwritten request captured on the wall and the trip will be documented and published through YouTube.

Everybody has dreams and desires, so I’ve decided to care about you and I’ll be excited to be writing every request of every donor by my hand and lift up a pray to God for each one at the Western Wall putting your petition into the wall at the end of the pray.

Please consider a donation, any amount will help defray this trip and the prayer time that your request needs in this place. The money will be used towards flight, supplies & food. Men and women are separated at the Western Wall so our team of two; Pedro will pray for men and Andrea will pray for women. We'll be traveling from Colombia to NY, then to Tel Aviv where we’ll board the bus to Jerusalem. We’ll be staying at any hostel. We expected between 3k and 10k petitions, so we'll be at the Western Wall for one or two months praying every day.

This is an exciting opportunity and it will be a spiritual experience for my sister and I.
