The West End Family Link Center (WEFLC) is a community- based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1993. It was created after a group of community leaders gathered in collaboration to examine the needs of the community and gaps in services. This center is one of the original family resource centers who are member- centers of the state wide Family Resource Center Association (FRCA).
We service an area that covers 2,069 square miles, which includes the west end of Montrose County and Norwood area in San Miguel County. With a population of approximately 1,870 the WEFLC served 947 people through services that we provide.
When in need of assistance the West End Family Link Center is the place to find it; if the center is unable to meet the need, we make referrals as necessary to best suit the needs of the client. We have been going through a lot of changes over the past year with an entirely new staff dedicated on addressing the needs of our clients to better serve the community.
We must relocate and need your help to come up with the funds for the expenses associated with moving locations. We are looking for a new location and will need help with the expenses of moving including but not limited to renting storage and/or office space, security deposit, moving utilities, truck rental, etc. Please help us to continue to provide the services we provide to the West End of Montrose and San Miguel Counties such as Food Bank, Emergency Outreach for utilities, Parenting Classes, Youth Budgeting Classes, Referrals, Nutrition and Exercise Programs, etc.
We are starting our goal at $5,000 to cover these expenses and would appreciate any donation you can give at this time.
