We’re walking the World!

Thorndale House is who we are! We're 4 young people, and some slightly older ones too! Some older than others!!! And we've challenged ourselves to "Walk the World"

This is our story!

For the last few years our young people and staff have completed a summer challenge, cycling Coast to Coast, climbing Ben Nevis, canoeing the Lakes!

Covid stopped us in our tracks last year so we had to get our thinking caps on! Ideas spiralled and on January 1st 2021 we started walking, counting our miles along the way!

We're doing well and to date (Feb 26th 21) we've done over 6000 miles in total! Our current most miles in one week by one person is 92!

We're getting excited about the end of lockdown with more opportunity to get further afield for our walks! And lockdown ending also led to talks of summer holidays and how we couldn't go on our caravan holiday last year, there was a suggestion from our young people to try and raise a little bit of money to put towards another holiday for them! Another young person suggested that if we did that, then we should also give half to a charity!

So here we are! Our chosen charity is Great North Air Ambulance!
