Heartbreak comes in many forms. For some it's losing the one you love, or leaving the one you can no longer be with. Heartbreak for me, is walking through the terminal 3 gates at Heathrow, not knowing when I'll be able to see him again.
Hello everyone. I'm Ri, I'm South African and two years ago I fell in love with a foreigner.
Now in a perfect world, that wouldn't be a problem. But when you're faced with visa costs and airplane tickets, student debts and elderly parents, loving someone far away can be gut-wrenching.
Julian and I met in Cape Town in 2016 and since then, we have spent thousands to see each other when we could, while studying full time at university and working two jobs each.
Needless to say it has not been an easy journey, but it has been worth every single tear, wet kleenex and snotty nose.
We have finally come to the stage in our relationship where we can apply for a partner visa in the UK, but it costs £1500 to apply.
One can't put a price on love. I would walk to the ends of the earth for Julian, and if you knew him, I'm sure you'd see why. Together we have overcome intercontinental struggles and the threat of deportation. This is the final hurdle we need to overcome for us to be together for good.
Please let our love conquer all. We have come too far and been through too much to give up now.
Help us be reunited for good!
Lots of love and thanks for reading all the way to the end!
