PLEASE-HELP-IRENE

Hello Family and Friends,

Our Dearest Mom suffered a severe left side stroke in June 2021, and has been in ICU for the past 3 months. We are trusting God that she will be discharged from ICU soon, and moved to a rehab facility. She’s going to require intense rehabilitation, including speech, memory, chewing, swallowing, sensory, vision and mobility therapy.

Before mom had the stroke, we were in the process of applying for medical aid for her, which took over 3 months of going back and forth with the medical aid company. But unfortunately during this waiting period, tragedy struck, and mom had to be admitted into a private hospital as we were concerned that she would have passed away in a public facility, during the 3rd wave. Financially one is never ready for this, but us girls knew that we need to do whatever it took to have our momma recover so that she could come back home to watch her grandkids grow up… as we know that they are her world.

To date we have incurred over ZAR 1.2 million, and expect the bills to be about ZAR 2 million after all’s said & done.

So the purpose of this post is to humbly request donations to help with paying our mom/grandma’s medical bills. We understand that we are all living in very challenging times, but would really appreciate any financial contribution.
