Campaign Story
Hello everyone! We are Alex and Jay
Haia pawb! Alex a Jay ydym ni
We are motivated to help those in crisis who are currently escaping the fighting and destruction that war is inflicting on the civilian population of Ukraine. That’s why we decided to take action and transport much-needed supplies, driving our van from Wales through central Europe to the Polish-Ukrainian border region.
Here are our aims:
- Collect essential aid supplies in South Wales
- Drive supplies to refugee facilities on the Polish-Ukrainian border
- Buy further supplies locally from pre planned locations
- Offer lift to refugee family or group who are unable to travel westwards
Many local drop-off points have witnessed fantastic generosity from the public. However, with such a high volume of donations, some are overwhelmed and struggling to ship out supplies at the same rate they are coming in. This led us to contacts in South Wales looking for volunteers to take and deliver some of these donations. We will collect these supplies in our trusty van early next week.
We plan to deliver essential aid to refugee reception areas situated in the border region. Then we will purchase additional supplies locally, ensuring we find out which items are in highest demand, and make repeated deliveries to reception areas in need.
On the day we finish delivering supplies, using local support networks, we will help a refugee group or family that requires transport westwards to link up with family or friends already situated outside of Ukraine, in Western Europe.
Our journey begins on Thursday 10th March.

100% of your donations will go towards fuel and purchasing essential aid and supplies for desperate refugees. We are personally funding the cost of the Eurotunnel, any accommodation, and personal subsistence costs. We will donate any remaining money to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Ukraine humanitarian appeal:
