Über das projekt:
Meine Kinder verlassen, (mehr oder weniger) das Haus, wegen Berufs-und Schulausbildung. Da ich ein Gemeinschafts-Mensch bin, möchte ich mein Haus für Erasmusstudenten, WOOFers, Couchsurfers, HELPEXers, Workaway´s und andere Gäste öffnen.
Meine Küche ist aber in einem ganz miserablen Zustand, genauer gesagt der Fussboden bricht ein. Sie ist auch viel zu klein und unpraktisch.
Ich habe ca. 2ha Land zu bewirtschaften, was ich ohne helfer nicht bewältigen kann, seit mein Lebenspartner einen Schlaganfall hatte und auf einen Rollstuhl angewiesen ist.
Die Küche müsste deshalb Gast-freundlich hergerichtet werden und eine Rollstuhl-freundliche Grösse bekommen . Wir sind auf Helfer angewiesen und Sie bereichern unser Leben.
Im moment sieht unsere Küche so aus:
Dies soll verändert werden:
-Einen Durchbruch zu dem anliegenden Zimmer soll gemacht werden um die Küche zu vergrössern.
-Der alte Fussboden muss rausgerissen werden.
-Da es ein altes portugiesisches Haus ist gibt es kein Fundament, dass heisst das Loch was ensteht muss mit Steinen, Schotter und Sand aufgefüllt werden.
-Der neue Holzboden wird dann auf dieses Fundament aufgelegt gehalten durch einen Lattenunterbau.
-Die Zwischenräume werden mit Styropor isoliert.
-Der untere Rand der Wand wird durch Kacheln geschützt.
-Der Holzboden wird abgeschliffen und mit Wachs versiegelt.
-Die Wände werden mit Wandfarbe oder Kalk gestrichen,abhängig von dem vorhergehenden Anstrich.
-Zum Schluss werden die Kabel neu verlegt und Regale an die wände angebracht.

About the Project
My children are moving (more or less) out of the house to study and work. Since I'm a community person, I want to open my doors to Erasmus students, WOOFers, Couchsurfers, HELPEXers, workaways and other guests.
My kitchen is in a miserable state, more specifically the floor is breaking in. Besides being too small and not practical. There's also about 2 hectars of land to take care of, which I can't manage since my partner had a stroke and now depends on a wheelchair.
Therefor the kitchen needs to become helper and wheelchair-friendly.
At the moment our kitchen looks like this:
The following needs to be changed:
- A break through the wall to connect the current kitchen to the room next to it so it becomes one big room.
- The old floor needs to go.
- Since it's an old portuguese house it has no foundation, which means the hole that's underneath the floor needs to b filled with stone, gravel and sand.
- The new floor will be placed on this foundation and held with substructure of wooden bars.
- The spaces between will be insulated with styrofoam.
- The lower part of the wall will be protected with tiles.
- The wooden floor will be sanded and sealed with wax.
- The walls will be painted with wall-paint or whitewashed, depending on the existing paint.
- Finally the cables will be laid and shelves will be attached to the walls.
Now everything can be put back in the kitchen and there will be a meal for all the helpers.
