Ricardo, just graduating from University and myself just got engaged this year in April. We originally planned to save money for a wedding in 2016 so that our parents wouldn't have to pay for anything -- with us being first generation, we grew up comfortable but not with much.
Now, we received news that my future mother-in-law has been diagnosed with gallbladder cancer at a rather serious stage. If that wasn't enough to consider an earlier wedding, she has now been diagnosed with jaundice which is a symptom of gallbladder cancer complications resulting in another surgery. Between the accumulating costs of her therapy sessions, his last semester in college, and a wedding within 8 months, we need all the help we can get.
This wedding is so much more than just the union between two people. This is a union between two families and Ricardo and I would love to have a wedding with all of our loved ones present. Please help us make it possible for us to give a wonderful wedding in the short amount of time, for my mother in law who wants to make every minute count. Who wants to watch her son share his life with his other half.
