Hi There! We are Victoria and Jamie, and we are going to tell you our story. Before we met each other, both of our lives were very different, we both had a different upbringing, but after getting to know each other more, we realised we weren't all that different, we were both brought up in different parts of London with our familes. Although we both have a very strong family unit within our families, both of our families struggled financially. My Father was on minimum wage, but he worked so hard. Both our families love us dearly, and wish they could have given us everything we wanted as a child. When I was a child, as young girls do, I was always dreaming about my wedding day, I even thought about marrying my first boyfriend. He was more of my best friend, but we used to walk around nursery holding hands, and we even played mummy's and daddy's! As Jamie got older, he got caught up within the wrong croud, and got on the wrong side of the law. This caused him to go through some of the most difficult times in his life, such as homelessness, and bankrupsy. As I got older I had many boyfriends, some of which treated me very badly, sometimes they would abuse me physically, however, it was the emotional abuse that I suffered from the most. I have been in hospital a few times after trying to take my own life, and have recently come off anti-depressants. After this I also got mixed up within the company of the wrong crowd, however, I was lucky enough to get out of that company before getting on the wrong side of the law myself. It wasn't easy. In this time, being the typical teenager I was, I had moved in and out of the family home on a number of occasions. I lived with a kind christian couple who lived just across the road from my mum. Last year, after Jamie and I started dating, I had plucked up the courage to move on from all the bad things in my life, even though I had just lost my grandma, I even went back to college! I am still there now! Jamie has totally turned his life around and he is the perfect man. The only problem is, he left school with no grades, so finding a perminant job is so difficult. My Jamie is actually very inteligent, however it seems you need to have the proof on paper nowadays. We don't have a specific list for our wedding gifts, instead, we would really like it you could donate any amount towards our big day and honeymoon. We are yet to have our engagement party, but we still haven't been able to put enough pennies together to afford it. I have become an avon rep too, but i'm earning peanuts :( but it helps to get us by for our weekly shopping. I do understand that money is tight for our country right now, hense why paying for a wedding is so difficult. We do hope that you will find it in your hearts to help us. We are not the perfect people, but we are perfect together, and we have found love... in a hopeless place :)
