We Care

After 2 weeks of being quarantined.. since we are on lockdown.. I already heard a lot of different stories of big companies and known personalities doing their social responsibilities for people who are very much affected by this pandemic. Big businesses and or even those who are supported by the government can very much support their employees and staff. But small and private businesses will have a hard time supporting their employees during this crisis.

We are one with the sentiments of other small businesses. We are a small private school in Taguig and with all of what's going on caused by Corona Virus, we want to sustain our community and help our teachers to get extra benefits in hard times like this. They may not be the front-liners during these times, but they are our front-liners in normal days. With schools being suspended and closed, we do not have much income to give extra benefits or quick-response fund to our teachers in the coming months. Since there is a lockdown, we cannot also force the parents to pay the tuition and other fees because almost half of them are minimum-wage earners or ofws, some of them are also no-work-no-pay. As part of our community, I thought of taking an initiative to do my part and take a step in providing our teachers and staff the support they need to still be able to support their individual families, since most of them are bread-winners.

This is my way of doing my social responsibility for our own family. I was thinking of doing this as a start and hopefully I will be able to build a project that will be good long-term. This will benefit not only our teachers and staff but I will extend it to other private school teachers also within our area.
