We know all too well that cancer doesn't see age.

Our journey began on Nov 2016 when my mother was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colorectal Cancer. A week later after being sent for scans, we found it had spread to her liver. At only 55 years of age, this wasn't suppose to be happening. We simply thought those minor abdominal pains were just a simple fix she even had a hard time on her bowel and feeling constipated everyday and blood residue/discharge. We have been back and forth to the Doctors for scans and MRIs to make sure we start with the best treatment possible but still we failed to support my mother's treatment. We have already lined up on government offices to ask for financial aid and loans. My father doesn't have a job and old and I am an only child as well. It's hard being an only child and no one can help me fight through this battle and seek for opinions for my mother's condition, good thing I have my 2 y/o son to efface sad moments.

My mother's treatment is going to require many months of both chemotherapy and radiation, bone scan due to the recent news that there was a tumor below her butt. Surgery will follow the chemotherapy. She has a long and difficult road ahead but with her strength there's nothing that will keep her from beating this.

Though our fight is just getting started, we have already incurred many medical bills (i.e. doctor visits, surgery associated expenses, prescription costs, lab work, etc.) and are fully aware that more will be coming our way as we have not started the most expensive part of this battle (i.e. chemotherapy, radiation, surgery and bone scan). We have set up this Fund Page page to humbly request your assistance with what we realize is going to be a financial hardship on our family. Any amount that you are able to contribute would help and be greatly appreciated. But more than anything, we ask that you keep our family in your prayers and send great wishes our way.

I would like to end this by saying please go get screened. Let this be a wake up call to everyone, no matter how physically fit you may feel or seem. Our hope is to save any and everyone from being diagnosed at a later stage.

Gratefully,

Jackie and Family
