Hello! My name is Alexey. My wife's name is Julia. We are from Russia. Our history has lasted for several years. To begin with, I've been a patriot all my life. I always dreamed of serving for the good of my country and I was ready to give my life for my homeland. At the age of 19, I served compulsory military service. Then I voluntarily went to the police service. I graduated with honors from the police school. He served on important state facilities. Did everything that I was ordered. I served in the police for 3 years and became a sergeant. But then I ran into the corruption and arbitrariness of our government. The authorities gave me orders to turn a blind eye to crimes and offenses if they were committed by an official or other high-ranking official. At the same time, ordinary citizens were not forgiven of anything, not even some frivolous acts, such as the accidental throwing of garbage past the urn.
I certainly did not like this, I argued with the authorities about the fact that before the law all are equal and there should be no exceptions. Because of this, they tried to shut my mouth, forced me to carry out humiliating assignments, forced me to work every day for 18 hours, without days off.
This lasted until the government decided that it would be necessary to fire 10 percent of the entire police force to get rid of people like me. And they fired me, and along with me, another 100,000 policemen across the country. So I became unemployed.
At this time, my wife (she graduated from the medical academy) worked as a doctor in a polyclinic. By nature, my wife is the same as me. She, too, could not tolerate arbitrariness and corruption. The authorities of the clinic struggled with her in the same ways. She was forced to work from morning till night, every day, and her salary was cut by 2 times. Then she was forced to make dangerous calls. I mean the call of ambulance in drug dumps and other dangerous places. She was sent there alone, without security. For all the work time, my wife tried to kill twice and twice locked in an apartment, threatening with rape. She miraculously managed to escape. At night, she cried, but did not want to leave the hospital, because she had to help people. But I could not stand it all, I was very afraid for her life and I persuaded her to quit. Just a month later - I was fired from the police. So we both became unemployed. Also, the state took away our apartment, because we were no longer state employees.
My wife had to take up any job, while I worked in a taxi for 24 hours a day, so as not to die of hunger and pay rented accommodation.
To save our family from starvation, I decided to go to the army in the Russian military base, which is in Armenia. When I signed the contract, I was promised a salary of 800 dollars a month, but I was deceived again. When I arrived in Armenia, I learned that I would receive only 250 dollars a month. I was not allowed to bring my wife to the military base. I was desperate, but I had to serve. A month after the beginning of the service, being in a dress, I severely injured my leg and got an infection there. I spent 6 weeks in the hospital, I was nearly cut off from my foot due to infection. And while I was lying in the hospital - the army did not pay me a penny. I did not have the money to send my wife to pay my rent. After I left the hospital, the authorities told me that as punishment for a long sick-list I would have to go to war in Ukraine. Our army sent its soldiers there unofficially and illegally, the soldiers did not even receive money for military operations. 2 of my friends died in this war. In a war that they did not need.
In order not to go to war, I had to quickly draw up documents for dismissal. They tried to stop me from doing it, beat me, but I got it and could quit.
After so many events, I decided that the more I do not like my country and I'm afraid to live there, I took my wife and we fled to South Korea. We tried to get a refugee and spent a year in Korea, but we were denied. We again had to leave. But we were afraid to return to Russia, so we went to Cambodia. Now we live here, I try to work through the Internet, but since I have no education - I'm not good at it. My wife and I dream of saving money for moving to some kind of developed and democratic country. To do this, we created a fundraising on this site. We hope that you can help us, at least a little bit. This money is enough to finish English courses and programming courses so that I can earn money for moving to a good country. At the moment, we have only 30 dollars left, soon we will have nothing to eat.
Please forgive me for my English and for such a long story.
Thank you very much to everyone who responds!
