We Want To Heal

Hello, my name is Hotaru and I'm here to tell my family's story.
Although born and raised in Japan, my parent's split at a very early time in their marriage. My father took my elder brother back to Japan with him, while my mother and I went to America and earned our citizenship. In 2009, I had just turned 11 and it was the first time I was able to formally meet my father and brother, who was already 19. In 2011, I lost him in the Tohoku Tsunami that devastated many people, mostly my father who's health had been deteriorating since then. When we found out it was dementia, we immediately took him back home with us. I ask for financial support and help so that I may get him the treatment he really, really needs before I have to lose him too.
