This beautiful girl, named Sloane, was left at a shelter, like so many others like her. A stray, with no back history, no one to blame, and no one to hold accountable for the horrible act of negligence that has been done to her... One thing though that is a little bit different about this beautiful girl is we will be held accountable. Accountable for her wellbeing from here on out; getting her healthy, happy and on the journey to finding a forever home.
At just a few months old, this puppy has endured the neglect that thankfully most dogs don’t see in their lifetime. She has such a severe demodex infection that it has caused a secondary bacterial infection of her skin. When you touch Sloane, her skin literally falls off into your hands. She is so swollen her skin rips when she walks, and her eyes are now swollen shut. The swelling has caused ulcers on her eyes that have to be treated immediately before they cause permanent damage. She also has to be given daily medicated soaks to soften her skin so it does not crack when she moves.
The worst part about Sloane's condition is that it was all treatable. It should have never gotten to this point, but someone just left her to endure this.
We are taking the stand to come together and we need your help saving Sloane. It’s going to be a long road to recovery, but there is recovery ahead of us! She will be able to be a happy bouncy puppy and know the spoiled rotten life soon. This community will make sure of it!
