We need your help – Community Yurt Fundraiser

Hello beautiful Souls,

We have recently moved to Greece from the UK in order to create a beautiful sanctuary for the soul for us and others - a gentle retreat for anyone in need of a time out, but especially the highly sensitives, empathics & creatives, the ones who are recovering and healing from physical or mental strains, and those who are simply a little lost in the world right now and need to rediscover the stillness within so they can find their place and way forward in this hectic world again. Lina is a place where mind, soul and heart can mend and we can reconnect to the wisdom and healing of nature. We also provide sanctuary for animals in need by short term fostering and rehoming to loving forever homes - especially puppies.

We sold everything we had in the UK and bought a beautiful old farmstead in the foothills of the Taygetos mountains with an acre of land, and set about renovating these two enchanting houses and tending to the acre of land with its 115 Olives in February 2021. Despite careful budgeting and trying to foresee every hiccup and possible extra investment needed, we had a big set back when the car we bought when we arrived here in Greece died and needed to be scrapped within three months and we had to fork out another £6000 to buy another second hand car (let me tell you that cars in Greece are insanely expensive. This £6000 2nd hand car is a 2011 reg Opel Astra Estate with 175K on the clock, we wouldn't even pay £750 for this in the UK!).

As you can imagine, this took a BIG chunk out of our budget and we are now stuck with another investment we wanted to make in order to create a community meditation and contemplation space for those staying with us and those in the local region wanting to connect with like-minded souls on a regular basis - a Yurt. This was the space we wanted to create for learning and teaching old crafts, sharing special moments, creating ceremony and immersing ourselves into the arts. But, the extra car swallowed the £7000 we budgeted for a 6 meter Yurt we wanted to erect on our Aloni.

The only way we can still realise this dream in the foreseeable future is by crowdfunding it. So here we are with our plea for help!
