I’m Clifford Akwana from Nairobi Kenya the winner of Earth Citizen Ward for environmental conservation 2016.“Wangari was my inspiration. I understood from her how protection of the environment is key to creating healthy and sustainable lifestyles in any community,” And so with very limited resources, but with Wangari’s example close to his heart, he set about transforming his community. my main concerns in my hometown are youths,arts,environmental and educational. “I was especially touched by the pollution caused by dumping in the Ngong river in Kayole Nairobi , where businesses and inhabitants dispose of waste with impunity. There is a ‘Don’t Care’ attitude towards pollution , but I see this as mostly educational. People don’t see the longer-term consequences so they don’t really care. Waste management issues, blocked sewerage systems, polythene and plastics dumping and disposal issues, lack of tree coverage, lack of educational facilities and recreational space for children… these are the main issues that I am trying to alleviate in Kayole.”

we must is a spoken words that i want to transform the society. we need change and taking care of the earth will be a big benefit to future generation.

my main reason for this fundraising is to record the spoken words (WE MUST)both audio and video. the total cost is $350 that will cover all studio expenses transport among others.

What happened to our rivers where we saw divers?

Now polluted and diluted with human waste,

Toothpaste, iron paste, wire, tire, iron sheets and bed sheets,

Electronics, plastics, human urine and waste, kettles and metals,

Pesticides and fungicides, petrol and diesel,

what will our future generation drink?

I consult a horoscope for I can’t risk a future I don’t know and it reads as follow

River of life but they destroyed it with pollution.

We must stand united and help to restore our planet

Planting trees to help crate forest, woodland and jungles

We must demand electric vehicle to replace vehicles that runs on petrol and diesel engine

We must take action against the people who are responsible

and guilty of dumping toxic and harmful hazardous waste

in our rivers and oceans around the world,

We must prevent people from drilling on protected land for oil,

We must stop people from destroying more land

So as to mine for precious stones, metal and mineral

We must stand together and change the mind of people

Who are responsible for their actions and crime against humanity?

as the people of the world,

We must stop all forms of violence, hunting and poaching

ban all trading and trafficking of animals

We must stop the destruction of our resources such as

Rain forest, woodlands, rivers and oceans

We must stop pollution of water and killing marine life with plastics and toxic waste,

We must sign petitions heal the world scars and make it a better and safer place to live in,

We must keep our families and friends safe from violence, viruses and diseases.

Africa and the world needs people to protect our wildlife and environment the whole biodiversity of life
