We Are Homeless

Hi to everyone who takes time to read my campaign

Am currently unemployed together with my spouse. Both of us were retrenched some 7 years ago; found ourselves being mentally stressed and depressed over many issues from family to our careers. Currently we are still looking for a job from various avenues. We faced many rejections from job applications in the past due to our low qualifications and our mental state of well-being which many employers factored in and had to let us go.

We are currently living on 1 meal a day sometimes none; at times we had to force ourselves to go to monasteries where free food are offered though we are Christians! We are in a very bad shape and could hardly afford necessities like going to the barber, going to see a doctor whenever one of us fall ill; even to the point of getting medication from a pharmacy! We are in short penniless. We had been living with no electricity, water, etc for months and that is because we have depleted our savings to pay for the utilities and other stuff like the monthly payment to Town Council, etc.; whilst we were unemployed and waiting for potential employers to call us for interviews. Yes, we missed some opportunities that came too late in the midst of waiting because we found ourselves unable to even afford the public transport! In case you who is still reading this wonder how I ever penned this campaign; well its through a café called Costa Coffee which allows pathetic souls like myself to use their terminal and surf the net. I did it when they started business in the morning so that when the actual customer(s) came around noon; I had to give up my seat but managed to set up this fundraiser. Priority is given to paying customer(s). It was real stress for me as I had no money to make any purchases yet I came to the café and used their facility. It was also stress for me as I had to race against time to compose this campaign and start this fundraiser before noon. I thanked them for being magnanimous and kind to me; every bit of help is much appreciated.

The point is I raised this fundraiser in the hope to save my home. I had not been servicing my monthly instalments; met up with the HDB officer several times and begged them for grace over a lengthy period of time. God must have took pity on me such that I could have extensions like this by wonderful people. All I ask for is not funding but just to loan me and I shall return it back in full. I may not have ample time with my spouse as my life is limited. I just know myself and I hope to make her happy with my remaining time. Whatever it takes I will just do it and return back whatever I loan from you. And that is a promise to whoever the kind Samaritan out there who is reading this campaign. God bless you.
