Wasuna’s family project

My name is Emanuela Wasuna. I live in Timisoara, Romania and I have 30 years. I am married with an awesome man from Kenya, named Rogers Wasuna.

We are doing this fundraising campaign to share with you our dream. We met more than 5 years ago in Kibera Slum, Kenya. Since then, we dedicated our lives to help the poor kids from the biggest slum in Africa, named Kibera (a place where Rogers lives right now).

We want to continue with our dream for those kids, but the last 2 years were very hard for us, as a family. Due to Covid19 reasons, Rogers is trapped in Kenya with no job, living in Kibera. I have a job in Timisoara and I am trying to help him (money food and rent) each month until his situation gets better. Meantime, I am illegally living in a student campus in Timisoara because there is no money for me to rent an apartment. We fell stretched to the limits and discouraged because we stopped to help, we almost stopped to believe in our dream.

We do not want to give up. In the past few weeks, we were thinking about a business idea that we want to share with you.

We want to raise money to buy an empty apartment in Timisoara and prepare it for sale. We want to reinvest the amount of money in a new apartment and continue to raise this business. With the profit we make, we want to do 2 things:

- continue to help the kids from Kibera

- help us, as a family (monthly bills)

The amount we need is 70.000 Euros (the cost of an apartment).

We are passionate about people. We want to give, to make a difference but we do not have financial resources to start this.

We promise that we keep all our donors posted with up to date information about our project/ business even when this fundsraising is done.
