Moms harassed by Washougal School District

UPDATE 6/24/2021:

Quite a bit has happened since our last update! On 6/22/2021 we held a city wide tribunal to address the grievances of the community and provide a venue for the board to defend themselves and their actions in an open public forum- to which they responded that they would not attend and that they would no longer communicate with us. This was rather entertaining since they haven't communicated with us, the same kind of refusal that got them into this situation in the first place. This was a public event and unlike the boards "public meeting", all were welcome to join. We had an amazing turn out and 97 residents of Washougal attended and many more came from neighboring communities to show support! It was amazing!! In order to vote the board members out of their elected positions, 2/3 of the residents of Washougal that attended needed to vote yes to removing them. Out of the 97 residences in attendance 86 voted to remove them, 8 did not vote and 2 voted to keep them, more than enough votes to have them removed!!! We aren't done yet...

Now we are at a point where we take all our evidence for maladministration, the votes for removal and all other pertinent documentation and submit it to 1). Clark County Sheriff Chuck Adkins 2). Clark County Superior Court Clerk Scott Weber 3). Clark County Auditor Greg Kimsey. The sheriff has to bring forth a grand jury for a letter of indictment based on evidence. When a person is indicted, they are given a formal notice that it is believed they have committed a crime. The indictment contains the basic information that informs the person of the charges against them. If the answer is no from the grand jury, there is other avenues we can take but for now we will focus on this only.

Part of the other piece of the puzzle we are waiting for is, records. They have once again attempted to put roadblocks in the way of answering simple public request. There was finally a response (to one of the many request) stating that there were +311,000 emails that came up when searched with Mcilwain, Bellamy, police, disruption. They decided they would not waive to fees but would not specify a reason and decided that the charge for ELECTRONIC files would be at least $3,893.58- but warned that it could possibly be even more! Just another stall tactic, but the school board hasn't seemed to understand that we will not go away until we have full transparency!

UPDATE 6/18/2021:

37 days after the incident, all 3 trespasses have been rescinded. Trespasses that should have never been given in the first place. We are not sure of the motion for reasoning behind it, we can only speculate. Whatever their reason, we have no doubt that the support and outreach from all over the nation has played a role in the recusal, thank you! Don't worry, this is not going to stop us from holding them accountable, if anything it just makes us that much more determined to keep moving forward!

For 37 days they violated our First Amendment rights and have tried to intimidate us into going away. They have made us into the villains of the school district, town and smeared our names in this town because of false allegations. The school districts relationship with the local paper only furthered that lie and has also exposed the local papers corruption as well. The article was posted without checking into the story. The lies were printed and then shared, further slandering us. The truth always comes out in the end. We will continue to defend our innocence and to expose the corruption that seems to have infected so many parts of our amazing town!

6/12/2021:

To all those who have taken a moment to look into our story and have sent us support in all forms, we truly thank you! We are still as determined as ever to stand up to the Washougal School District and have sent them 70+ Affidavits for their numerous violations requesting a response. We have held two community outreach events, and many interviews to publicly speak out in response to the perpetuated lies by the board members themselves, as well as the superintendents. We are in this for the long haul and will do whatever we need to do to protect the children of this community, as well as our neighboring communities!

We will continue to keep everyone as updated as we can! Together we can make change! Stand strong!

5/11/2021:

Since our story has been released to media, and several outlets have taken it, twisted it, etc. We feel compelled to share with you here and let you all decide for yourselves if you still want to stand beside us in this fight for our children. If you would like to help hold the Washougal School Board accountable by contributing to our legal fund, we would appreciate any donation. We will stand strong for the children of this community and we will be fighting the false charges against us. Thank you for your support!

On May 11th the Washougal School District discriminated and harassed three female community members who came to a public meeting about critical race theory and mask mandates for their children! They were kicked out by Vice Superintendent Aaron Hansen (Salary $142,100+) and Superintendent Mary Templeton (Salary $168,634+), who are vocal supporters of critical race theory.

The board voted to end the meeting because they claimed there was a disruption when one member would not put on a mask due to medical and religious exemptions, which she stated multiple times. However, after the three left and everyone pretended they were leaving in their cars, the board illegally started another meeting, which is against the law. They have to publicly post a 24 hour notice before any new meeting. When the three citizens learned about this illegal meeting they came back. The doors were locked (against the law) and all the attendants (fellow educators/employees) from the earlier “adjourned” meeting were inside. They refused to let the community members in and even shut the window closed in their faces and proceeded to laugh and mock them (visibly laughing). Washougal board members called the police and demanded the three be trespassed from City of Washougal property or face arrest for the length of one year. The police trespassed all three at the request of the board: the police were not given an option to say no to this. There is no way to challenge this trespass besides civil litigation. The board since then says they will move all public meetings to zoom due to “Covid” until further notice, with multiple restrictions, including having to submit your questions/ comments prior to the meeting to be given to the board members so they can prescreen before allowing you to talk, which is also illegal!

Police reports will be filed within a few days by all three victims. Crimes committed by the WSD employees and board member include violation of the following RCW’s:

RCW9.91.010, RCW9A.80.010, RCW10.14.020, RCW49.60.030, RCW42.30.010, RCW42.30.030, RCW42.30.040, RCW42.30.075, RCW42.30.090, RCW42.30.120 The citizens will be releasing a full statement shortly and correcting the false narrative being pushed by the school district. Due to the abhorrent actions of Washougal School District, lawsuits will be filed against them for the following: discrimination, civil rights violations, depravation of rights under the color of law (abuse of power), violation of oath of office, libel, defamation of character, and causing extreme mental anguish.

We demand all board meetings be suspended until able to accommodate in-person public attendance as required by RCW 42.30.030 (held outside if necessary). In the best interest of our community and our children, we demand the resignation of Mary Templeton, Aaron Hansen, and board members Jim Cooper, Angela Hancock, Donna Sinclair, Cory Chase, Chuck Carpenter, effective immediately. We demand the immediate public reversal of the three illegitimate trespass orders on our community members. You all have blatantly shown that you do not serve us constituents that elected you to represent us and our children’s individual rights. You have violated our constitutional right to redress our grievances, which we have many. The Washington State Constitution states "

All political power is inherent in the people, and governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed, and are established to protect and maintain individual rights."
