WASA- Women Against Sexual Abuse

WASA - Women Against Sexual Abuse is still in it's baby stages. A week ago, it was just an idea of making this a reality. So what are we? We are a Self Starting Non Profit Organization dedicated to helping women who have been victims of sexual abuse and assault.What do we do? Well right now we are going through the fundraising process to afford an abandoned home in central Grapevine, Texas and THEN renovate it. It will be the perfect all-female support home.How are we going to make a difference? I haven't developed a completed Business Plan, but there will be certain social compliances the girls will have to agree to in order to recieve WASA services. First, they must attend a 6 month sexual abuse/ therapy workshop and group sessions must be attended weekly, as well as becoming certified in self defense classes while living rent free in the female support home.What will this do for society? It will keep many women off of the streets and into higher quality lives, careerpaths and education. This will eliminate the constant need for suffering females to go from doctor to doctor without any true remedy for their PTSD or Grief.On Exiting the WASA House the women will be given career workshops, and will be taught to be MS Certified or equally given their own creative educational and career goal/ path. Each will be given the tools available for job placement and educational assistance, which ever they choose. For women who have no home to return to, we will put them on a waiting list from day one so that they can get adequate housing in an area without sexual predators.But the FUNDING is NEEDED for THE WASA HOME. Our Fundraising? First we will start with Social Media and Internet, then we will ask local communities if we can do charitable functions such as "raffle off your boss's desk job for a day" or "raffle off the employee of the month parking spot" for a day and so on. If you know of any local (North Texas) businesses who would be interested, please let me know.We will offer them free rent and 6 months to get complete therapy provided by our organization, also allowing them access to affordable doctors and so forth. We will help train them emotionally during those months and get them involved in the community. They will feel better if they participate in local Marches for Cures and attend Self Defense Classes. Also we will offer a unique staff who help assist them 24 hours a day.
