Warmth winter campaign for the poor of Gaza

The winter season has always been associated with good in everyone’s minds, but the winter and rains in the Gaza Strip have another frightening and worrying aspect for many poor families who see this season as a brutal war while they are demilitarized.

Wherever you go, the Gaza Strip suffers from the crisis of flooding streets and the many potholes in the roads, and this is perhaps the least tragedy, as the winter opens the pain of blind families, whose homes cannot withstand the rain, or their residents can protect from low temperatures.

Dozens of families live in the Nahr al-Bared area, next to the "garbage dump", in uninhabitable homes that lack the least human necessities, in addition to the fact that each family has at least five children.

During our tour in "Nahr Al-Bared", all the families complained about the severe cold and the lack of the necessary blankets for children, in addition to the inability to face the strong winds that uprooted the fragile roofs in which the citizens were sheltering there.

And between the alleys, you find families wrapping around the fireplace, and others try to increase the weight of the roof of the house for fear of collapsing during the depression, and everyone is busy, afraid and worried about what might happen to it.

The Gaza Strip has been suffering from a suffocating Israeli blockade since 2007, which has included 3 grinding wars, which have greatly deteriorated the humanitarian and economic situation, and the Palestinian division has increased the suffering of the citizens of Gaza due to political disputes.

More than 2 million Gazans live in difficult humanitarian conditions, with a significant increase in poverty and extreme poverty rates, in addition to thousands of unemployed graduates, and high rates of attempts to emigrate from the Gaza Strip.
