Hello and welcome to my business funding page, my name is Jay, and I am from London. I have spent my life working and studying in the area. My school, college and university education were all in locations across central London. I am proud to say that I am a well-rounded Londoner and believe to be in touch with trends and London's mindset. Strong, diverse and ambitious. I believe in the energy of London and its strength. Successfully running a food franchise has been my dream since I was 20, and now at 35 years old, with a lot of hard work and planning, I am ready to open my first shop.

The U.K is changing all over. I have seen many parts go from no go areas, to thriving business places. As you look around and see the amount of new housing projects, this one of the signs of demand. The U.K will always need feeding. I have identified an area of exceptional growth potential and heavy infrastructure investment.

THE PLAN:

The business I would like to open with your support is the highly successful German Doner Kebab (GDK). GDK is the fast, casual brand that has taken the U.K by storm with its healthy & nutritionally balanced approach to traditional kebabs. Food trends can come and go, but there is a global shift towards finding an authentic experience that doesn't cost the earth.

GDK is the undoubted leader in the kebab market with a fresh kebab with a satisfying taste sensation that comes in at around half the calories customers expect. Everybody that has tried GDK knows their kebabs are well above your average kebab shop.

The GDK shop will be located*(exact location confidential) close to an underground station, and a new housing development, surrounded by a large and diverse neighbourhood. It's an area that I think would greatly benefit from a GDK. The proximity to the underground station and college make it a dream location.

THE FINANCIAL BREAKDOWN:

The aim is to raise £350,000 to cover the entire investment. If just 700 people each invest £500, we have meant out the target. I am not asking everyone for £500; some will be happy with more, others with less. Every investment is welcomed and highly appreciated.

I know £350,000 is a lot of money. Starting a business is expensive; the aim is to give you great food. I've put my entire life's savings practically into this, and with your help, we can build something great to share with the whole community. It'd be a dream come true, and I'm so excited about this and so confident in the support from the community.

Funds will be spent on the entire franchise cost, which includes legal fee, shop fit-out and stock. The GDK team will carry out all of the construction work. The minimum liquid availability is £350,000. Total investment (per store), £170k – £350k. The management service fee, 5% of weekly net sales. National marketing fund, 4% of weekly net sales. The initial franchise fee, £18,500 plus vat.

The process will be, meeting with the franchisee, agreeing to business terms and location, completing the business plan. 3 - 6 weeks of training, signing the trade zone agreement.Secure locations, fitting out then opening the shop. This time frame is a normal part of every business; we do not aim to cut any corners. Once funding has been met, I aim to have the shop open within 6 -9 months. I'll be acting as a business owner and manager; I'm committed to learning and growing to make this business successful. I will seek the legal advice once investors have been selected.
