Hello, I'm Andrew
After a very rough past 8 months that have included numerous hospital stays and what seems to be neverending setbacks due to Hirschprungs disease(1 in 5000 are born with Hirschprungs), Which is a condition that affect the large intestine, I've decided to fulfill a lifelong dream of mine and hike across the country. I've always been active and try to keep my head held high, but the past few months have made me take inventory of just how precious life is and how improtant it is to do things that make us happy, to fulfill dreams. With that said- The only thing that's currently holding me back is finances, as I haven't been able to save as much money as I would have liked to due to being in the hospital and medical bills. I've never shied away from a challenge and as I read about those who have walked across the country, I become more intrigued. I've never settled for less than what I set my mind to. I feel it's important to find your purpose in life- to dig deep and find out what your made of- I plan on doing this during the trip while also updating a blog I plan on creating.
Sometimes a journey is what a person needs in order to find themselves. I try to live everday to the fullest and help as many people as I possibly can. I'm a big believer in paying it forward. I firmly believe that if I help someone then I will be helped in return. I've met so many people who have such big dreams, yet never follow those dreams. I've decided to take the first step to fulfilling mine. Any help/donations I receive I'll be using for food, New gear, showers and as an emergency fund in case I run into any problems. I plan on leaving just before Christmas if I'm able to raise the money needed for cold weather gear(I don't need to freeze to death). By helping me you'll be helping someone fulfill a dream and supporting someone that is taking those steps to do so. I'd like to believe that humanity still exist in the world. Here's to self-discovery and a long road ahead.
Thank you in advance.
