Walk for Woofs

Global impact of Coronavirus on human and animal lives alike has been unimaginable. Families all around us are being displaced and some are unfortunately unable to take their beloved pets with. Our wonderful rescue cloud-doggy Luna came to us from BARC (Bahrain Animal Rescue Center formerly known as Tony the Dogfather’s) which is one of the very few places that are offering home to unfortunate animals in Bahrain. Luna has been one of the greatest gifts to my family so in return I would like to help them now that fundings are scarce, the closures have been affecting the working hours of their thrift shop and number of animals they are looking after is going up.

I have set myself a “Walk for the Woofs (and Meows)” target of walking/running 200km in 2 weeks. I’ve started the challenge on 9th of May and I’m hoping to hit the target on 22nd.

So to all of you lovely people near and far goes a plea to please help me support BARC and all the wonderful care they provide for animals. This will help them make their lives happier and healthier therefore increasing their chances of finding a loving new home (and BARC re-homes them all around the world). Summer is already here and animals find it really hard to cool down, every donation would help the center provide safe shelter, food and healthcare and also keep working hard on re-homing these wonderful animals in Bahrain and abroad.
